Welcome

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) is pleased to present ‘Evidence Based Radiation Oncology: How to evaluate the scientific evidence and apply it to daily practice’. This Clinical Refresher Course is jointly hosted by the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) School, the premier organisation for radiation oncology education in Europe, and the RANZCR Faculty of Radiation Oncology.

This four day course being held from 19-22 November 2016, in Sydney Australia, will be a fantastic opportunity for current fellows and trainees to review and discuss the latest evidence in the literature with both international and local radiation oncology experts. The course will explore the evidence basis behind the indications for radiotherapy, and the RT techniques for commonly occurring malignancies. Illustrative cases will be integrated into each sub-site session and will form the basis of discussion. In addition, this year will be the first year in the course history to include the sub-sites, skin and CNS'. The course is aimed at trainees who are preparing for their Phase 2 examinations and Fellows who wish to review and refresh their knowledge.

The ESTRO School is highly regarded by oncology professionals worldwide. This is the first time that course will be held in Australia. This course is expected to attract strong interest from the Australian and New Zealand radiation oncology community

For industry, this course offers the opportunity to meet and establish connections with radiation oncology professionals, primarily radiation oncologists and radiation oncology trainees.

We look forward to hosting a successful event with your support.
